| OPEN PROFILE |
 |
| Scott has won a Players Championship and a Tour Championship so has the class to beat the very best fields. But, until recently, his record in the majors was surprisingly poor. He made the turnaround last year when following up 27th at Augusta and 21st at the US Open with an eighth place at Hoylake and a third in the USPGA. His eighth place in last year's Open would have been three places better but for a double bogey at the last so Scott will certainly be on many shortlists after that performance. Despite having one of the best swings in the game, Scott can still be an enigma and after blowing victory in the St Jude Championship last month he staggered over to Oakmont and missed the cut. |
