| Fasth heads to Carnoustie as one of the hottest players in the game. The Swede was the top Euro finisher in the US Open at Oakmont last month, placing fourth. And, with his confidence flowing, he returned to the European Tour to capture the following week's BMW International Open in Germany. After a week off he then headed to the K Club in Ireland where he finished runner-up to Colin Montgomerie. Fasth can boast Open form too having finished runner-up to David Duval at Lytham in 2001 so he definitely represents one of Europe's best chances of ending their Majors drought. |
